December 8th — A Celebration of Light and Life.
As the days grow shorter, many cultures celebrate life, love and wisdom with festivals of lights. Some of these are Bodhi Day (the day of Buddha’s enlightenment), Hanukkah, Diwali, Santa Lucia, Kwanzaa, and Las Posadas.
East-West Crossings will host a multi-cultural celebration on Saturday, December 8th:
10:00 – 10:45: Silent Meditation
11:00 – 11:45: Children’s Story Hour
12:00 – 12.30: Two Tagore Songs on Light and Life
(Abantika Chowdhury, Sangamitra Neogi & Ranadhir Mitra)
12:30 – 3:00: Panel Discussion on the Importance of Community
Samanthi Gunawardane, Kumkum Chatterjee, Charles Eisenstein
3:30 – 5:00: Strath Hanna will play live Celtic Music with fiddle, recorder and keyboard
Tea samples available all day.

Book Sale to Benefit Montessori School of the Nittany Valley
Description: On Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st from 11a.m.-7p.m., East West Crossings will donate to the Montessori School of the Nittany Valley a percentage of the proceeds received from its friends and supporters. Please present the East West Crossings Book Fair voucher at the cash register at the time of purchase. Coupons can be picked up at the school, East West Crossings or at other participating locations.
