Hello Everyone!

Just when you were getting used to sitting on the deck again, the weather has become fickle. But we are here—warm and cool!

We are pleased to announce several special events to celebrate spring:

Mother – Daughter and Girlfriend Teas
On Saturday, May 10th we’ll host two seatings of Mother-Daughter and Girlfriend tea parties – at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  – reservations required.  Treat yourself to delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, summer salads, fresh fruit and dessert dainties, with special treats for all.  ($15 per adult; $10 per child)
Makes a great gift!

East-West Crossings First Anniversary Party
Saturday, May 17 from noon to 6 we will celebrate the first anniversary of our opening. We will have tea stations, tea passports, door prizes, live music and much conversation. We will also be introducing our new summer menu, filled with ingredients that are light and tasty for your enjoyment.  On that day we will also inaugurate an exhibit of photographs by Lemont photographer Helen Restall.

(The next e-mail and web update will have more about the Anniversary Party.)

Music in May:

This Friday, May 2—Hua Henry Wang will be back once more with his “magic guitar fingers” (audience reaction). We have missed him.

Also, Jennie Lavine will be performing her kind of clarinet magic the same evening. The program is from 6 to 8 as usual.

Friday, May 16, from 6 to 8,

we are presenting a unique evening of live music. “Beatles for Beagles” a group of Suzuki child musicians will perform first, followed by MaryJo (Mattea) Oster who returns with her guitar and songs after a couple of months.

Friday May 9th   NO MUSIC

WE’LL BE CLOSED MOTHERS DAY, MAY 11.

Thank you for your support
